Back to back events highlighted a busy week for us in New York last week. On Tuesday Hedge Connection’s sister event company Investment Management Resources had it’s 14th Meet the Manager Forum. Six diverse, and very interesting managers presented their strategies. We had Ibis Management, Lexington Asset Management, Zebra Capital, Lattice Management, Alpine Associates and Rosenthal Capital Management.
The managers joined us from the Tri-State area and as far away as Washington State and North Carolina. Over 50 investors came to listen to the speakers and sit down with them at the roundtables. In entering our 5th year of hosting the Meet the Manager Forums, it is a great feeling to have established a following and to see so many familiar faces.
The next day, Wednesday February 11th, we brought together the strengths of both IMR and Hedge Connection to host the first event in the 2009 Investor Champagne Roundtable Series. This inaugural event was a tremendous success and we are so excited to be bringing this type of event to the hedge fund industry – this is cap-intro.
Eight investors hosted roundtables with 28 hedge fund managers. Every 15 minutes the investors switched tables and had discussions with managers and offered insight into their investment process and expectations. The managers, in turn, introduced their strategy, background and began establishing important relationships.
Investors present at this event were: UBS Hedge Funds Groups, AC Investment Management, WR Capital Management, The Baryl Consulting Group, Generali US, Riverview Alternative Investment Advisors, UN Consulting, Proctor Investment Managers. In addition, a few high net worth individuals shadowed the institutional investors as they made their rounds.
I had a great time at the Champagne Roundtable. You did a fabulous job. I look forward to the next Roundtable.

Congratulations. The two days this week were very useful and very productive, as we were able to meet quite a few investors in a short time period. I hope that this will bring business in the future.
